Just a quick note for those of us who enjoy games on their phones – there’s EA Publisher Sale going on right now, which means that for a week you can get some of the EA titles cheaper, full list and details here and here.
And back on the road 🙂
Using this boring three hour long break to share with you of what I have learned today:
According to J.D Power and Associates Nokia surpassed Samsung and is now officially manufacturing second most satisfying smartphones behind Apple on the US market.
Users satisfaction score was based on performance (33%), design (23%), features (22%) and ease of use (22%).
It does not really surprises me that Samsung is loosing field in this particular battle, their phones, even though with superior hardware, are not really reliable – buying them is like playing a roulette, you can get a working one, or a barely working piece of plastic.
And their customer support and services are next to none in blowing. Of course Samsung is not the only one to blame. I can imagine bad performance of android on mid tier phones, lack of updates, unreliability and interface very much like Apples made their impact as well.
As for Apple, I guess Nokia has real chances of surpassing them in a future, Microsoft just needs to get its shit straight and fix all those small annoying bugs and implement missing features.
And if you wondered – yup I am pretty much biased in my opinion, but it is all due to my experiences with android and Samsung. I might even write a story about that one day 🙂
Since I am on the road and have nothing interesting to do I have decided to post some using WordPress for WP 🙂
Since almost always I have seen tones upon tones of useless applications on the wp store.
One type of such apps are those letting you read QR codes – there are many of them available, all of them do exactly the same and, what’s most surprising, people install them for some odd reason.
QR readers are available for phones having both wp7.5+ and wp8.
Under wp7.5+ press search button, and then eye icon on the bottom. Note that I am writing this from memory, but it should be accurate:)
It is worth mentioning that it is not available for some regions, but you can go around this by changing your region (or probably just language not sure right now).
For WP 8 simply run camera, go to lenses and choose Bing Vision 🙂
Windows Phone 8 is still pretty young OS, but already managed to get hearts of a lot of people. Its smoothness, nontrivial design and reliability are few among many pros the system have. Continue reading →
During last week we have seen a few new games(No Gravity, Boom Brigade 2) on our platform that I did not really write about, mostly because there was nothing ground breaking about them, but it still does not mean I will not make a review of them in near future.
