It seems that Microsoft decided to halt WP7.8 update for unknown amount of time.
Newest update was released for a brief amount of time at the beginning of the year. Unfortunately quickly after people started reporting problems – including live tiles slowing down phone, problems updating and unusually high data usage.
Unfortunately for the time being it is unknown when fixed 7.8 will be released.
